The Tree Park on the NH 66, at Karwar is almost at the far end of the Ravindranath Tagore Beach. You have to use service Road. The High way and the flyover along the Beach is still under construction. This tree park is one among many tree parks developed and maintained by the forest Department of Karnataka Government, at various places. You can spend a whole day at this place. Picnics with food is permitted I believe. You are not allowed after 6pm. You will fall in love with the park!! One gets to see a fantastic sunset from the park, with the beach very next to it. It is in the memory of a great lady who planted a lot of trees, Thimmakka, for whom trees were her children... since she had no kids of her own..! Beautiful...!! Some snaps for you...

Mangalore Ullal Beach, for my FB friends...
Kumta beach is one of its kind..It is sandy for a small stretch. The low tide exposes sand, makes nice pattern of water, as could be seen in one of my snaps! Then there are some hillocks, you can easily get on top and enjoy beautiful view. Pathways have been built recently. A small childrens play area is also located . One can take a drive along the motorable road, go round have look at the Vannalli.. beach and fishing jetty.. and exit towards Kumta . It is very fascinating.. You can watch lovely sunsets. May be sunrise too.. but I have not tried.Whether alone or with your loved ones you get total quality time. The beach is never crowded.. Nowadays more and more people do visit and enjoy .. especially during Vacations. A visit is worth..!!
