A J Hospital And Research Centre: Located right on the National Highway 66. People from the nearby places and neighborhood districts visit the hospital for all their health issues and Medical needs.

Kuthar Junction, Deralkatte, to Mudipu has very prominent , important Institutions - Medical, Dental, Engineering, colleges , Mangalore University, and to top it all Infosys. Some High Rise Apartments Siliconia and Beary's , also Mini Apartment complexes are located along this route which connects BC Road- Bangalore and Mysore Highways..! KIADB Industrial Area too is located. So keep an eye.. I shall be adding snaps on regular basis.. By the way we have an apartment in Siliconia...!!

Someshwara Beach Off NH 66, about 30 minutes drive from Mangalore. Beautiful beach, slightly away from the main road, nearby Ullal.

Karwar Ravindranath Tagore Beach : The Karwar town (almost a small city) people spend their evenings at this mesmerisingly beautiful beach, which they are lucky to have in a walkable distance. If you are happy go to the beach, if you are sad too, go to the beach to pour out your sorrow to the sea...! You cannot ask more from the God almighty for the wonderful nature he has bestowed on us all..!! So...

At Honavar the River Sharavati has two bridges Of National High way 66 ( NH66 ) across the River. It is a great sight and amazing view from the bridge..The snap is of fresh fish arriving for sale ... You can purchase directly from the fisher folks..! That itself is very thrilling experience.. !!

Flower of... can you guess?! Turmeric plant...! The Turmeric leaves are used for preparation of some nice local dishes, Ghee, and in some fish masala etc. I have simply used some live Turmeric tubers and have planted them randomly at my place in Kumta. During rainy season they grow beautifully. I had never seen Turmeric bloom.. That was lovely experience when I got to see the Turmeric flower..! Here you see how amazing it is...!

Kadri Musical Fountains, opposite to Kadri park, Mangalore .. shows are in the evenings. During the day it is very calm and refreshing. Nice spot to spend some time with your family and kids..!

It's a pleasure driving on this National High way, 66 (which is yet to be completed), especially very early in the morning when the sun is about to rise, and you cruise along, and come across western Ghats and smooth flowing River like the Gangavali.. ! You should experience .. and feel it yourself...! On such a journey I took some snaps of the trees and.. the River with a mild sun light..!

Apsarakonda beach on NH 66, near Honavar is fabulous..

Apsarakonda Waterfalls near Honavar on the NH 66, is nice little falls (small) may be a seasonal one I believe. There is a parking space available, a park is also located nearby from there you can have a nice view of the sea...!

At Honavar Kasarkod on NH 66 you can visit a lovely and beautiful beach and also see the echo Park

The Tree Park on the NH 66, at Karwar is almost at the far end of the Ravindranath Tagore Beach. You have to use service Road. The High way and the flyover along the Beach is still under construction. This tree park is one among many tree parks developed and maintained by the forest Department of Karnataka Government, at various places. You can spend a whole day at this place. Picnics with food is permitted I believe. You are not allowed after 6pm. You will fall in love with the park!! One gets to see a fantastic sunset from the park, with the beach very next to it. It is in the memory of a great lady who planted a lot of trees, Thimmakka, for whom trees were her children... since she had no kids of her own..! Beautiful...!! Some snaps for you...

Sunrise at Kumta, Taribagil. A small River.. High tide creates a large water body... nice ecosystem.. Mangroves etc. The whole area looks amazing when it is full of water...!!
